I have four siblings: two sisters and two brothers. I'm the middle child and think of myself as the glue that keeps us stuck on one another. :)
We have always been close and sincerely enjoy spending time together. When we gather the room is full of laughter as we relive memories of the past. My Dad was great at photographing us as kids and my Grandfather had a darkroom at one time. As a result, there is a wonderful hallway full of family memories documenting the story of my family.
My favorite photographs are the every day moments of the siblings: Me and my two sisters laughing hysterically over who knows what, my two brothers cross eyed the way they used to regularly do, the five of us piled on top of one another after a failed pyramid attempt. The relationships are expained through the looks of love and every day fleeting moments caught on camera. THIS is what I love to do and why I became a photographer.
These two siblings have been coming to my for years. It has been a joy watching them grow and change drastically in between each session, as all kids unfortunately seem to do. What came across strongly through this session was the admiration the younger sister clearly has for her older brother. It is obvious that she looks up to him and that he enjoys being the "big bro". The way the two of them giggled and snuggled into one another during a private exchange in the watermelon image is endearing. The way she is nestled tightly into him as he proudly wrapped his arm around her during a fleeting moment. I refer to these images as the moments between the images. They are my prized images; the tender moments of love that take place between family members in between posed shots. Sometimes they naturally happen on their own and other times I set them up. Regardless of how they unfold, what matters is that I am ready and able to expertly capture them so families can treasure these moments forever.
Book your family session today to allow you to create new memories. You and your children will want the same wall of family memories that my parents have today, allowing us all to look back and happily remember all the great times.
