Southern Ma Child Portrait Photography- Baby Portrait time: TWINS!

I adore working with babies in their first year, allowing me to capture the fleeting moments and tender relationships at this stage in life. I started my career as a child portrait photographer and, being in Newport, allows me the joy of working on a regular basis with families and children in the beautiful outdoors. What a job!

These two beauties were so much fun. They were at the age where sitting down was just being mastered, making toppling over quite easy. One of my favorite images happened when one of the sisters  touched the other while they were both sitting and, accidentally, over she went! Watching twins at this yound age was amazing. They were so in tune with one another, touched each other regularly, and were keenly aware of each other’s moods. I found it intriguing observing them as I worked. I can’t wait to follow their journey as they continue to grow!

These images were created on Cape Cod and I visited both a small private beach as well as the home, for a bit of variety. Enjoy and please don’t underestimate the need to capture the moments during each age, as life flies by, and capturing the relationships and moments for one another and future generations is essential.

Winter Newport Wedding at OceanCliff

Dina and John were married at the stunning OceanCliff in Newport, RI. They also secured Ochre Court for images of their bridal party following their intimate ceremony at Kay Chapel. These two were such troopers, as it was, understandably, absolutely frigid for their December. Dina wouldn’t have it any other way though- she had those stunning images on the rocks at Bretton Point and Ochre Court imbedded in her mind and I was so happy to oblige!  We worked very quickly, spending no more than 5-10 minutes at each location. Regardless of the request or situation, my priority is always to deliver in a way that keeps my couples happy and enjoying their day. If I had spent any more time out there on those rocks Dina would have turned into a popsicle… so we moved quickly. :) Congratulations to you both!

Newport Family Portraits- 10 Year Wedding Anniversary, 4 kids later!

I was absolutely thrilled when I received a call from wedding clients Jason & TeriLyn, exactly ten years after photographing their Newport Beach wedding. After sharing with me that it was time for a family portrait session they caught me up that they now are proud parents of four beautiful children! We met at Purgatory Chasm, where we did some of their wedding images a decade back, and started by re creating one of their favorite wedding images.

Their littlest one was only a few weeks old that day! TeriLyn and Jason were clearly made to be parents- they are such perfect examples of what parenting is all about. They are having the time of their life and, even with 4 (FOUR- I can hardly say it!) they are soft spoken, kind, and balls of patience. What a beautiful family they have built and, as a photographer and parent myself, it is so much fun to reconnect after the wedding day and continue to cover the lives of those who have shared one of their most amazing days of their lives with me. Seriously, I have the best job in the world! :)

Jason & TeriLyn ordered several gallery wraps and hung them together on a prominent wall in their family room. They also ordered the very popular leather family portrait album, which almost all of my portrait clients order. Such a fabulous way to share the growth of your family for the remembrance of the children and the entire family. It is the same beautiful quality and book that my wedding couples order and many people do family albums bi annually to show the growth and changes that occur. Call today to schedule your portrait session!

Hampshire House Wedding- Through rain and snow and across 3 continents

“Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.” Mother Teresa.

Cherry clearly lives by this belief, as she didn’t stop smiling the entire day, regardless of  frigid temperatures and falling snow. She waited years and travelled back and forth between three countries, after all, to finally get to this day. Sherif and Cherry chose The Hampshire House in Boston for their wedding celebration, which was shared with 20 of their closest family and friends. Cherry got ready at The Taj, dressing in the Bolero which was hand made with love by her Mother. The intimacy of their day allowed them to share their meal and festivities at one long table, which was a beautiful sight. Especially fun was watching people live feed during the reception, toasts, and dancing to include the family in Egypt and Canada who wasn’t able to make it to Boston to be a part of the magic.  I wish you both the best in your marriage, regardless of who wins the battle of which country you ultimately reside! Love will bring you across all borders.

wow Laura! Beautiful memories…so glad my family and i got to share them with you! The pictures still get us all emotional they are beautiful and you have captured everything. People who were not at the event felt like they got to see the best of it all thanks to you! Although we had just met a couple of hours before the wedding it felt like i have known you for years and my family felt the same way. You were not a photographer but rather a family member and that is exactly what i wanted. It was an absolute pleasure and an honor to have you there! Thank you:)
